What is Summer Food Service Program for Kentucky ?
The Summer Food Service Program was created to serve nutritious meals to children when National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program meals are not available. To ensure all Kentucky children receive proper nutrition throughout the year, SFSP reimburses organizations that prepare and serve meals to children 1 to 18 years of age during the summer and school vacation periods at eligible sites.

To be eligible for Kentucky Summer Food Service Program, you must be a resident of Kentucky and 18 years of age or under.
Meals are provided by the Summer Food Service Program at open sites in areas where at least 50% of the children are eligible for free or reduced school meals. Any child may have a meal at an open site and income is not checked or verified.
