What is Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)?

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) provides part-time community service training positions to low-income persons age 55 and older. Program participants work an average of 20 hours per week, are paid at least the Federal minimum wage, and are employed in a wide variety of community service activities.

  • 55 years of age or older,and
  • Unemployed

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
