What is New Hampshire Food Stamp Program (SNAP)?
The Food Stamp Program is about good nutrition and health. It provides eligible individuals and households with benefits used to purchase food items at grocery stores, supermarkets or other participating food retailers. The Food Stamp Program ensures that all recipients have an opportunity to learn more about purchasing and preparing nutritious meals.

To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of New Hampshire and meet one of the following requirements:
- You have a current bank balance (savings and checking combined) under $2,001, or
- You have a current bank balance (savings and checking combined) under $3,001 who share their household with one of the following:
- A person or persons age 60 and over or
- A person with a disability (a child, your spouse, a parent, or yourself).
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

What is the application process for New Hampshire Food Stamp Program (SNAP)?
To apply for the Food Stamp Program, visit a New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services District Office. If you are disabled or a senior, or have no transportation, you may apply by mail and do not have to come to our office. You may request an application by calling any District Office.
