What is Indian Education Assistance to Schools?

The purpose of the program is to fund other programs that meet the unique and specialized needs of eligible Native American students in a wide range of areas.

Administration

Indian Education Assistance to Schools is administered by Bureau of Indian Education (BIE).

Program Requirements

To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be all of the following:

  • A parent or primary caregiver of a child(ren) over the age of two years but less than 19 years of age.
  • Native American/American Indian.
  • You or a family member must be enrolled in a Federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native village.
