What is Health Professions Pregraduate Scholarship Program for Indians?
Indian Health Service (IHS) Pre-Graduate Scholarship Program provides financial aid to qualified American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate students.

Program Requirements
To be a recipient of this benefit program, you must meet all of the following:
- Be members or descendants of federally recognized, state-recognized, or terminated Tribes; and
- Be a high school graduate or the equivalent who is enrolled in courses leading to a bachelor's degree in specific pre-professional areas.
These pre-professional areas allow for application to a postgraduate health professions program such as medicine, dentistry, podiatry, optometry and others as deemed appropriate - based on IHS health professions needs.
