What is Colorado Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)?
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.

To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a resident of Colorado and one of the following:
- Pregnant, or
- Breastfeeding, or
- Postpartum, or
- A child 5 years old or younger.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

A person who participates or has family members participate in certain other benefit programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, or TANF, automatically meets the income eligibility requirement.
