What is Arkansas Medicaid Program?

To be eligible for Arkansas Medicaid, you must be a resident of the state of Arkansas, a U.S. national, citizen, permanent resident, or legal alien, in need of health care/insurance assistance, whose financial situation would be characterized as low income or very low income. You must also be one of the following:
- Age 65 and older
- Under age 19
- Blind
- Disabled
- Pregnant
- The parent or the relative who is caretaker of a child with an absent, disabled, or unemployed parent
- Living in a nursing home
- Under age 21 and in foster care
- In medical need of certain home- and community-based services
- Disabled, including working disabled
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
