What is Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant?
The Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG) enables states and jurisdictions to provide substance abuse prevention activities, treatment and recovery support services and places an emphasis on the provision of treatment services for populations of focus, specifically, persons who inject drugs, pregnant women, and women with dependent children. Also, the program aims to make primary prevention services available to individuals not in need of substance abuse treatment.

Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant is administered by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Program Requirements
In order to qualify for SABG funded activities or services, you must need assistance or guidance regarding prevention of substance abuse, or access to treatment services for alcoholism or drug addiction.
